Diane Acosta

Diane and husband Markus started attending San Gabriel Community Church in 1991. In 2001 she joined the staff as the Director of Development for San Gabriel Christian School where their three children attended. In 2005 she became the Director of Children’s Ministries. Having come to Christ at the end of her college years, she never received formal biblical training. Wanting to expand and enhance her ministry reach, Diane returned to college and received a Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University in 2017. She has since provided biblical counseling for women and children in both the church and school community. Additionally Diane has spoken at Women’s Retreats, taught several courses through the SGCC Bible Institute and Women’s Ministries and leads small groups.

Her passions include reading “all things theological”, teaching, creating lively and unique events, walking and eating with friends, traveling and playing with her (adorable!) grandchildren.  Among her favorite passages of Scripture is Isaiah 40 which recounts the greatness of God. “To whom will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing” (Isaiah 40:25-26).
