Katelyn grew up in a Christian family and, by the grace of God, her 5-year-old heart was convicted of her sin and need of a savior. She prayed to Jesus, asking that he would forgive her and save her. As she grew in understanding, she recommitted her life to Christ at the age of 13, knowing that salvation is through grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone. Psalm 91 has remained on her heart since memorizing it in kindergarten. It is constantly brought to mind, no matter the circumstance–“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.’” (Psalm 91:1-2)
Katelyn enjoys a good cup of coffee or tea and reading fiction novels. She has always enjoyed learning about other cultures and loves to travel internationally–from London and Paris, to New Delhi and Kathmandu. She spent a semester of college in North India, studying religions and worldviews, and returned to India in 2010 to serve with a missionary family for 7 months. She graduated from Gordon College with a B.A. in History.
Katelyn has been the Bookkeeper at SGCC & CS since 2011.
