Victor Dorado

Victor grew up in East Los Angeles and he came to know Jeus as his savior at a very early age through the ministry of the Mennonite Brethren Mission Church in Boyle Heights and he renewed his commitment to Christ at Hartland Camp, Badger, CA in 1973 after realizing he had not fully understood his sin, need for a savior, and that salvation comes through faith in Christ alone, by faith alone, through His grace alone. Victor has been married to his childhood friend and, later high school sweetheart, Velia, since 1981 and they have one son, Matthew.

Victor worked for a variety of Fortune 200 companies in several industries and, after retiring from full-time work, now exclusively supports Christian organizations with consulting services around audit, accounting/finance and IT controls, and risk management.

Victor enjoys studying scripture, making personal connections with fellow believers, and coming along side fellow believers in support of biblically based financial stewardship.

Victor has been a member of San Gabriel Community Church since 1993 and has served the church and its Christian school in several roles (elder, school board chair, deacon, and adult Sunday school teacher).

Romans 8-1-4 is particularly meaningful to Victor, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.  For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”
