Would you like to receive The Connection (our weekly email of church news and events)? E-mail the church office at info@sangabrielcommunity.org

What should I expect when I arrive?

You will be greeted by our parking lot volunteers as you enter the Pine Street lot. Additional greeters are located outside the sanctuary and just inside as well. They will give you a bulletin and answer any questions you have.

Ushers are also on site to help with any need. Look for volunteers wearing “I Can Help” lanyards.

Our Worship Service usually lasts about 90 minutes, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.. The time is primarily filled with worship through song and the reading/preaching of God’s word.

Following the worship service, we have Sunday School for babies through adults from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.

Please stop by the Welcome Table in the Lobby where one of our helpful volunteers can tell you about Adult Sunday Schools and answer any questions.

Are there special programs for my children?

Yes! We have quality nursery program available during both the Worship Service and Sunday School.

We also have a Children’s Church that meets during the second half of the Worship Service most Sundays, which provides an age-appropriate time in God’s Word for students K through 4th grade.

How large is the congregation?

About 375 people worship in person with us on Sunday mornings.

Where should I park?

You will find ample parking at San Gabriel Community Church. On Sunday mornings, you may park in the lot to the north side of our campus or the lot across the street (on the east side of Pine Street). We have safety volunteers who patrol the parking lot on Sunday mornings as well as parking lot helpers to direct you.

When school is in session, only the lot across the street from the campus is open.

Do I need to bring a Bible? Which translation do you use?

We encourage you to bring your Bible, as the preaching each Sunday is based on a passage in God’s Word. If you do not have a Bible–or forget to bring one–simply let one of our ushers know and they will give you one to keep. Our pastor preaches from the English Standard Version (ESV), but you may follow along in whatever translation you choose.

How often you do serve communion?

We usually serve communion the first Sunday of every month. We invite all those who have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ to partake, whether or not they are members of San Gabriel Community Church. If you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, simply do not take the elements during that time in the service.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you are most comfortable in. You will find some people in shorts or jeans and others in business casual.

Is the Sanctuary wheelchair accessible?

Yes! And there are wheelchair accessible restrooms on both the main and lower floors of the building.

Do I need to make a donation when I visit?

The Worship Service is a gift to our visitors. There is no obligation to give! We do have online giving available at the link on the home page or an offertory plate is passed every week.

What if I have other questions?

Please feel free to ask an usher Sunday morning, or you may call or email us during the week. The church phone number is (626) 656-1000 or you can email the church office at info@sangabrielcommunity.org

What is the gospel?

The Gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ. It is the most important message that the world has ever heard, and only hope for the world. So, what is this message?
