Michele grew up with a head knowledge of God through years of religious schooling but she did not know Christ as her savior. However, God used C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series and his book, The Great Divorce to her soften her heart to the Lord over many years. During her post-graduate years, God called her to himself, and she was born again as a new creation. Praise God!
Michele started attending SGCC in 2005 and met her husband Mark in 2019 at BIOLA’s Talbot Seminary. She has served as a deaconess, on the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team, as a mentor for single career women and on the leadership team for the Genesis Sunday School class. In 2019, she was hired as SGCC’s Special Projects Manager and finds the work to be varied and challenging – from Chairing the Campus Master Plan Committee to chairing the 25th and 40th anniversary celebrations for Pastors Steve and Greg. She is thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to serve her church body in this way.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying out new restaurants with Mark, seeing the way the Lord is working in their 4 adult kids, Ben, Trevor (wife Anna), Josh (wife Karina), and Faith (husband Logan), travelling and watching UK TV shows.
Michele holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Diego, a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a Master in Management, Non Profit Organizations from Biola University.
